Post Names :

1. AFCAT Entry

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 165 posts;

Flying Branch: 38 posts;

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: 114 posts

2. Special Entry of NCC

Flying Branch: 10% of PC CDSE positions and 10% of SSC AFCAT vacancies are seats available.

 Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force Recruitment 

Age Restriction

Flying Branch: born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2005 (inclusive), or between the ages of 20 and 24 as of January 1, 2025. The upper age limit is lenient up to 26 years for candidates who possess a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India), meaning they can be born between January 02, 1999, and January 01, 2005 (inclusive).

Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches : 20–26 years as of January 1, 2025 (i.e., born between January 2, 1999, and January 1, 2005, inclusive).

Status of Marriage :

Marriage is not allowed during training, and candidates must be single when the course begins.

 

Educational Qualification

Flying Branch

Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and

(a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

OR 

(b) a four-year BE/B Tech degree from an accredited university with at least 60% of the possible points, or an equivalent. 

OR 

(c) Candidates who have passed the Section A and B exams for Associate Membership in the Aeronautical Society of India or the Institution of Engineers (India) from an accredited university with at least 60% of the possible points.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics):

Candidates must have passed Sections A and B of the Associate Membership examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India, or the Graduate Membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines. Candidates must also have completed at least four years of college or an integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University.

    (aac) Computer Engineering/Technology.
    (aad) Computer Engineering & Application.
    (aae) Computer Science and Engineering/Technology.

(aa) Weapon Systems (WS) Branch:
Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
    (aaa) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR
    (aab) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(ab) Administration & Logistics:
 
passed the section A and B examinations for associate membership in the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent, or passed the 10+2 and Graduate Degree (minimum three-year degree program) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(ac) Accounts Branch:
passed the 10+2 exam and graduated from a recognized university with 60% of the possible points in any of the following streams:- B. Com. degree (minimum three-year program) (aaa).
    (aab) Bachelor of Management Studies (with Finance specialization)/Bachelor of Business Studies (with Finance specialization)/Bachelor of Business Administration (with Finance specialization)
    (aac) competent CA, CMA, CS, or CFA.
    B.Sc. with a Finance concentration (aad).
    (Ad) Education: Completed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% grades in any subject, including integrated programs that offer PG (a single degree without the option to leave or enter again), and graduated with 60% grades in any subject.
(ae) Meteorology:
 
passed the 10+2 and B Sc exams in Physics and Mathematics with at least 60% of the possible points, or completed a four-year degree program in Engineering or Technology with at least 60% of the possible points in any of the following streams:.
(aaa) Communication Engineering.
    (aab) Computer Engineering/Technology.
    (aac) Computer Engineering and Application.
    (aad) Computer Science and Engineering/Technology.
    (aae) Electrical and Computer Engineering.
    (aaf) Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
    (aag) Electronics Engineering/Technology.
